Dry-Needling for Calf and Lower Leg Pain

Client is very active, running, weight lifting, playing tennis, etc. However. About 1.5 years ago began to develop calf and lower leg pain which would come on after running several miles. The condition worsened in spite of months of consistent attempts at self-treatment including foam rolling, massage gun, stretching, and even “laying off” running, etc. After 1 session of massage, deep tissue fascial mobilization, and electro-dry needling, the client (who originally was skeptical and dreading dry needling, was but ready to have surgery if that was required), communicated back to me the next day, “Legs feel much better, I’m looking forward to the next appointment . . .”
